MBC’s new variety program 'The Secret Friends Club' unveiled its main poster ahead of its premiere. The show will air for the first time on February 1 at 6:10 PM KST.
'The Secret Friends Club' is an undercover reality variety show built around the concept of a group of people who know how to share two when they receive one. Cast members are randomly assigned secret manitto partners and must deliver gifts while keeping their identities hidden until the very end.
Jennie, Dex, Choo Sung Hoon, Noh Hong Chul, and Lee Soo Ji have been announced as the first lineup of cast members, drawing strong attention even before the broadcast. The newly released main poster centers on Jennie, alongside Dex, Choo Sung Hoon, Noh Hong Chul, and Lee Soo Ji.
Dressed in matching outfits and sunglasses, the five give off the vibe of secret agents and immediately capture viewers’ attention. Their confident yet slightly mysterious expressions heighten curiosity about the undercover missions they will carry out while concealing their identities. The phrase at the top of the poster, "Chaotic Undercover Gift Operation," further highlights the show’s playful and distinctive tone.
A horizontal version of the poster also stands out. In this version, Jennie, Choo Sung Hoon, and Lee Soo Ji remove their sunglasses and greet viewers with bright smiles, creating a warmer and more cheerful atmosphere compared to the earlier visual. Holding welcome kits, the cast appears alongside the program’s description, "a gathering of people who know how to share two when they receive one," which raises expectations for the show’s heartwarming yet humorous universe.
Adding to the intrigue, 'The Secret Friends Club' introduces a unique fictional world in which manitto club members, such as Santa, genies, and the Korean folklore Ureonggaksi, are said to be active all around the globe. The cast members are invited as new recruits to the Korean headquarters, setting the stage for an imaginative and entertaining storyline.
'The Secret Friends Club' premieres on February 1 at 6:10 PM KST.
