Former Big Bang member Seungri is facing new allegations claiming that he attempted to establish a so-called 'second Burning Sun' in Cambodia.
On January 20, a video titled 'Hwang Ha Na, Seungri, Park Yoochun Reporter Oh Hyuk Jin Reveals His Exclusive Investigation Files' was released on the YouTube channel ZlitZlit, which is operated by journalist Oh Hyuk Jin.
In the video, Oh discussed Seungri’s recent activities and stated, “We have received reports that he has been associating with money launderers, members of voice phishing organizations, and individuals connected to casinos. There are also tips claiming that he has been partying with senior figures from crime compounds in Cambodia.”

Oh further speculated that business-related discussions likely took place during these meetings. “It appears that he was attempting to pursue projects similar to a ‘second Burning Sun’ in Cambodia. However, the company chairman he was relying on has since been arrested and is reportedly preparing for extradition to China. I honestly do not know whether there is still anyone capable of providing financial support to Seungri,” he said.
The reporter added that while Seungri still maintains a relatively strong fanbase in Japan, his reputation in South Korea has completely collapsed. “In Southeast Asia, he is still recognized as a former Big Bang member, and it seems he may have attempted to leverage that image to pursue illegal business ventures. From what I understand, he is currently traveling back and forth primarily between Thailand,” Oh explained.
Meanwhile, the South Korean government announced that in November of last year, it established a Korea-dedicated task force in cooperation with Cambodian police to crack down on local scam compounds. As of now, authorities have rescued three South Korean nationals and arrested 157 individuals involved in scam-related activities.
