During the performance, Rain actively encouraged the audience to participate. He reportedly singled out a female fan who was recording with her phone and asked why she was not jumping, a message delivered through an on-site interpreter. In response, the fan smiled and pointed to her ear to signal her condition. However, Rain, misinterpreting the gesture, continued to shout "JUMP" and urged her to show more enthusiasm.
On January 20, 2026, the fan shared her perspective on social media, explaining in Chinese that she could not understand the verbal instructions from Rain or the interpreter. She clarified that as a person with a hearing disability, she relies on lip-reading or real-time subtitles. She also mentioned that she had mistaken Rain's gestures as a request to sing louder and expressed concern that the artist might view her as an uncooperative fan. She added that two of her friends at the concert also had hearing disabilities.
