It has been reported that a provisional seizure worth 500 million KRW (approx. 338,447 USD) has been placed on an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, owned by former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
On January 13, OOAK Records, the entertainment agency newly established by Min Hee Jin, told Star News that it is “currently checking the details” regarding the matter. The agency stated that it has not yet received official notice and added, “If any issues are confirmed, we will file an objection or respond through legal channels.”
According to an earlier report on the same day, the 21st Civil Division of the Seoul Western District Court approved ADOR’s request on December 23 last year for a provisional seizure of real estate worth 500 million KRW filed against Min Hee Jin.
Previously, on November 11, 2024, a multi-family home owned by Min in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, was also placed under provisional seizure. A provisional seizure is a legal measure intended to preserve assets so that creditors can secure or recover monetary claims.
This latest seizure is reportedly linked to an incident that occurred during Min’s tenure as ADOR CEO, involving ADOR’s former styling directing team leader, identified as A, who was in charge of NewJeans’ styling. A allegedly received styling service fees directly from an external advertiser for personal gain.
The National Tax Service reportedly determined that approximately 700 million KRW (approximately 474,236 USD) in service fees should have been recorded as ADOR’s revenue and that additional taxes should have been imposed on the company. ADOR argued that Min bears liability for damages incurred by the company, a claim that the court is said to have accepted.
Meanwhile, NewJeans members, who had conflicted with ADOR throughout 2024, recently expressed their intention to return to the agency. However, member Danielle was expelled.
Subsequently, on the 29th of last month, ADOR filed a lawsuit seeking penalty payments and damages against three parties, including Danielle’s side and Min, citing their significant responsibility for triggering the dispute between NewJeans and ADOR, as well as for the group’s departure and delayed return. The amount claimed by ADOR reportedly totals approximately KRW 43.1 billion. Danielle’s side has since appointed legal representation and is preparing a counter-response.
