Singer K.Will spoke candidly about the contract conditions tied to his role as a director at STARSHIP Entertainment, revealing that he once hoped to receive company stock instead of a signing bonus.
On January 30, a video titled 'Why 46-year-old K.Will Still Hasn’t Gotten Married' was uploaded to the YouTube channel hellohanssemyo. The episode featured comedian Kwak Beom visiting K.Will’s home, where the two gave viewers a relaxed house tour.
While looking around, Kwak Beom asked whether the home was owned by K.Will and commented, “People from Seorae Village have a really wealthy image.” When asked about housing prices, K.Will shared, “I really liked this house, so I ended up moving here,” adding, “My company also settled in this neighborhood, so I moved along with them.”
The conversation then turned to his position at STARSHIP Entertainment. Kwak Beom remarked, “I heard you became a director and that you receive stock instead of a signing bonus.” K.Will responded honestly, “Things like that are harder than you think. I did want that, to be honest, but realistically it’s difficult.”
When asked why he thinks he is still single, K.Will reflected, “Most of my friends got married between their late 20s and mid 30s. That was when I was at my busiest, so I missed the timing.” Kwak Beom also brought up K.Will’s hobby of collecting figures, jokingly asking what he would do if a future wife told him to throw them away. K.Will laughed and replied, “If I ever have to sell these, that would be a crisis in my life.”
Discussing his ideal type, K.Will said, “I don’t really have one. At first, I thought I preferred a certain type of person, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.” When Kwak Beom joked, “Now that everything’s settled, don’t you just need to meet someone?” K.Will sighed playfully and answered, “I guess a good opportunity will come,” drawing laughter.
Previously, K.Will also mentioned director-level benefits during another broadcast, saying, “They provide 2 million KRW (approximately 1,500 USD) per year for self-care expenses and 500,000 KRW (about 380 USD) when purchasing a mobile phone. I haven’t received them yet, though, so I’m not sure if I will in the future. I also heard there’s a marriage support fund.”
