IVE member Jang Wonyoung has once again become the subject of discussion over alleged tardiness at a public event.
On the morning of January 29, Jang Wonyoung attended a launch event for a fashion brand at a pop-up store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. She appeared in a bright yellow-toned jacket and matching shorts, drawing attention for her signature lovely aura and consistent visuals.
However, the event reportedly did not proceed smoothly from the start. As Jang Wonyoung arrived later than the originally scheduled time, the photo wall schedule was delayed, creating a somewhat disorganized atmosphere at the venue. After completing the photo wall session, as she was leaving the scene, a voice believed to be from the crowd was heard saying, “Let’s try to be on time,” expressing apparent frustration. Witnesses say Jang Wonyoung looked momentarily flustered following the remark and left without making any particular statement.
This is not the first time Jang Wonyoung has been mentioned for lateness at official events. She was previously noted for arriving late to both a fashion brand pop-up photo event and a beauty device photo wall event, where delays reportedly also affected on-site operations. An industry insider commented, “Photo wall events are usually tied to tightly scheduled press coverage, so punctuality is a basic part of event management. As similar concerns are being raised repeatedly, it seems that more careful schedule coordination and management from the agency may be needed.”
Meanwhile, IVE is set to make their comeback on February 23 with their second full-length album, ‘REVIVE+.’
