Disney+ officially revealed its highly anticipated 2026 original Korean content lineup, releasing a special preview video and first-look stills that offer a glimpse into the scale, tone, and ambition of its upcoming slate. The reveal has already generated strong buzz among global viewers.

Following a successful 2025 marked by acclaimed Korean originals such as 'Trigger,' 'Hyper Knife,' 'Nine Puzzles,' 'Low Life,' 'Tempest,' 'The Murky Stream,' 'The Manipulated,' and 'Made in Korea,' Disney+ is set to continue delivering deeply immersive viewing experiences next year across action, thriller, romance, fantasy, and variety genres.

High-Octane Action and Survival: A Shop for Killers Season 2, Battle of Fates

After being named Best International TV Show on 'The New York Times’ Best TV Shows of 2024 list,' 'A Shop for Killers' is officially returning with Season 2 in the second half of 2026. 'A Shop for Killers Season 2' follows Jeong Ji An as she is once again drawn into the world of assassins after becoming a target of the global organization Babylon, following the dangerous legacy left behind by her uncle, Jeong Jin Man.

Returning cast members include Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Jun, whose uncle-niece chemistry and intense action drove the success of Season 1. They are joined once again by Jo Han Sun, Kim Hannah, Lee Tai Young, and Kim Min. New cast additions Hyunri, Masaki Okada, and Jung Yun Ha enter the expanded universe as members of the Babylon faction, heightening anticipation for a larger-scale confrontation.

Meanwhile, Disney+ is also launching its boldest variety experiment yet with 'Battle of Fates,' a survival program where 49 fortune tellers compete through a series of fate-testing missions. By pushing beyond traditional survival formats, 'Battle of Fates' promises an entirely new level of tension and originality, with its premiere scheduled for the first half of 2026.

Exploring Human Desire and Hidden Truths: Bloody Flower, Gold Land, Made in Korea Season 2

The mystery thriller 'Bloody Flower' centers on a serial killer capable of curing incurable diseases. As it is revealed that his victims were chosen to save others, society erupts into fierce ethical debate.

The series stars Ryeoun as Lee Woo Gyeom, alongside Sung Dong Il as attorney Park Han Jun and Keum Sae Rok as prosecutor Cha Yi Yeon. 'Bloody Flower' premieres February 4, releasing two episodes weekly for a total of eight.

Set to release in the first half of the year, 'Gold Land' stars Park Bo Young as Kim Hee Ju, a woman who unexpectedly acquires gold bars belonging to a smuggling ring. As greed and betrayal collide, her fight to claim the gold intensifies. The series also features Kim Sung Cheol, Lee Hyun Wook, and Lee Kwang Soo, showcasing powerful performances driven by raw desire.

Meanwhile, historical thriller 'Made in Korea' returns with Season 2 in the second half of 2026. Set in Seoul in 1979, the story follows Baek Gi Tae (Hyun Bin) and Jang Geon Yeong (JJung Woo Sung) as their clash escalates amid shifting political tides. Returning cast members include Woo Do Hwan, Seo Eun Su, Won Ji An, Jung Sung Il, and Roh Jae Won, alongside newly introduced characters.

From Heart-Fluttering Romance to Destiny: In Your Brilliant Season, Perfect Crown, Completion of Marriage

Premiering February 20, 'In Your Brilliant Season' tells the story of Sunwoo Chan (Chae Jong Hyeop), a free-spirited man living every day like summer vacation, and Song Ha Ran (Lee Sung Kyung), a woman emotionally frozen in winter. Their chance meeting sparks an unpredictable and radiant romance.

April release 'Perfect Crown' is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea. It stars IU as a wealthy commoner frustrated by her status and Byeon Woo Seok as a prince with everything to lose. The series explores love, identity, and fate across rigid social boundaries.

Later in the year, 'Completion of Marriage' presents a romance thriller in which Namkoong Min plays a hospital director forced into a deadly chase to rescue his kidnapped wife. Lee Sul stars as his wife, promising intense emotional stakes and gripping suspense.

Epic Worlds and Fantasy: The Remarried Empress, Portraits of Delusion

Based on the globally popular web novel and webtoon with over 2.7 billion cumulative views, 'The Remarried Empress' arrives as a Disney+ original in the second half of 2026.

The fantasy epic stars Shin Min Ah as Empress Navier, Ju Ji Hoon as Emperor Sovieshu, Lee Jong Suk as Prince Heinrey, and Lee Se Young as Rashta. Combining romance, palace politics, and large-scale production never before seen in Korean series, the show is poised to capture global attention.

Also slated for the second half is Portraits of 'Delusion,' directed by Han Jae Rim and starring Suzy and Kim Seon Ho Set in 1935 Gyeongseong, the story follows a painter drawn into the secrets surrounding a mysterious woman whose portrait has remained hidden for decades.
