Former AOA member Kwon Mina cancels fan meeting following health crisis, full refunds announced

The fan meeting of Kwon Mina, formerly of AOA, has been cancelled.

According to OSEN on January 8, Kwon Mina’s first solo fan meeting, which had been scheduled for January 23 at H-Stage, will no longer take place.

The organizer stated that the cancellation was due to unavoidable personal circumstances involving the artist. All purchased tickets will be automatically refunded in full, with the refund process carried out according to each buyer’s original payment method.

On January 1, Kwon Mina was rescued after attempting self-harm. Following the incident, she shared a lengthy post detailing past trauma, including domestic violence during her childhood, severe financial hardship, experiences of assault during her teenage years, and alleged bullying during her time as an idol. Concerns about her condition intensified after it was revealed that she had unilaterally cancelled previously scheduled activities shortly before the incident.

Kwon Mina debuted in 2012 as a member of AOA and left the group in 2019. She later claimed that she had been subjected to mistreatment by fellow members, drawing widespread attention and sympathy. In the years that followed, she also faced multiple controversies, including disputes involving a nurse, relationship related allegations, and criticism surrounding apologies and explanations shared through social media, which led to divided public opinion.

After a period of self reflection, Kwon Mina signed an exclusive contract with MODEN BERRY KOREA and began preparations for her first ever solo fan meeting. She later announced the termination of that contract, which sparked speculation. However, the agency initially stated that preparations for the fan meeting would continue as planned.

Although reports later suggested that Kwon Mina was resting at home and focusing on her recovery, the fan meeting has ultimately been cancelled due to her circumstances. The decision has left fans disappointed, while many continue to express support for her prioritizing her health and well being.
