Former ZE:A member Kim Taeheon shared honest details about his earnings as a taxi driver.
On December 2, the YouTube channel NEXTAEHEON uploaded a video titled 'ZE:A Taeheon’s confession: "I gave up on dating a long time ago".' The video shows Kim Taeheon driving a taxi after recently obtaining his taxi driver’s license.
Heading out to work at 6 a.m., Kim Taeheon shared, "I keep thinking I need to increase my earnings, but it's not as easy as I expected. When I go out toward Anyang or the outer areas of Seoul, I sometimes come back without picking up any passengers, so my earnings end up being lower. This time, I’m going to do my best to bring in as much as I can."
One female passenger who got into his taxi commented, "These days, a lot of younger people drive taxis, so I never would have guessed you were Kim Taeheon." He responded, "I’ve heard that the age range of taxi drivers has gotten younger lately."
Kim Taeheon then revealed that the income is better than many expect. "The pay is decent," he said. "If I work full time and really put in the effort, I’ve heard I can make about 4 to 5 million KRW a month (approximately 2,700 to 3,400 USD). The people who are good at this job tend to make that much."
Kim Taeheon debuted in 2010 as a member of ZE:A. Since then, he has shared updates about working various jobs, including food delivery, parcel loading and unloading, restaurant serving, and construction site work. Most recently, he earned his taxi driver’s license and began working as a taxi driver.
