UNIS has returned as eight lovely yet mischievous girls.
UNIS released their second Japanese digital single, 'mwah…', at midnight on December 17th KST via major online music platforms in Korea and abroad.
Following their first Japanese digital single 'Moshimoshi♡', released in September, which adorably captured the fluttering emotions of falling in love, UNIS takes on a more playful and cheeky charm with their new single 'mwah…'. The song conveys a candid message of “don’t be happy with anyone other than me,” showcasing a more mischievous yet endearing side of the group.
The new track clearly highlights UNIS’s signature musical style. Its bouncy melody paired with a repetitive chorus creates an addictive quality that lingers long after the first listen. The straightforward and honest lyrics layered over a bright, upbeat sound further enhance the song’s charm.
Anticipation is also building for the music video, set to be released at 6 PM on the same day. The teaser unveiled on the 16th left a strong impression with visuals resembling a computer interface brought to life.
In the teaser, UNIS members express their individual charms within an XP-inspired world, before coming together to perform the point choreography for 'mwah…', radiating a lively and lovable energy. Fans are eager to see how the full music video will portray UNIS’s take on love.
'mwah…' is a love song that delicately captures both the excitement and subtle longing that come with falling in love. It candidly and cutely expresses the possessiveness and insecurity hidden within feelings of affection.
The song was written and composed by Koresawa, a beloved singer-songwriter known for relatable love lyrics popular in both Korea and Japan. The choreography was created by HANA, the winner of Mnet’s 'World of Street Woman Fighter'.
Meanwhile, UNIS’s digital single 'mwah…' was released at midnight on December 17th and is available on online music platforms. The full music video will be unveiled later that day at 6 PM.
