Park Bo Gum and Jung Hae In’s past connection to comedian Park Na Rae’s infamous “Narae Bar” is being re-examined as controversy surrounding Park Na Rae deepens.
The case involving allegations against Park Na Rae over illegal cosmetic procedures allegedly arranged through a so-called “injection aunt” has been transferred from prosecutors to the police, signaling a full-scale investigation. As scrutiny intensifies, online communities have begun revisiting celebrities who were once mentioned in connection with "Narae Bar"—particularly those who never actually attended.
While allegations of abuse of power and illegal medical practices linked to Park Na Rae remain unresolved, she has suspended all broadcasting activities. She has stepped down from major variety shows, including MBC’s 'I Live Alone' and 'Where Is My Home,' as well as tvN’s 'Amazing Saturday.' Her web variety show 'Narae Sik' and the newly planned program 'I’m Excited Too' have also been completely canceled.
On December 15, the Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated during a regular press briefing, “There are five cases in which Park Na Rae has been accused, and one case filed by Park Na Rae herself.” He added, “Investigations of the complainants and accusers have not yet been sufficiently conducted. We will proceed with a thorough investigation according to due process.”
Amid this, past footage and remarks related to 'Narae Bar'—Park Na Rae’s signature home-party content—are resurfacing online. In particular, comments she made years ago about celebrities she wanted to invite to the bar are drawing renewed attention.
During a May 2018 episode of MBC’s 'Section TV Entertainment News,' Park Na Rae was asked which stars she wanted to invite to Narae Bar. She named Park Bo Gum and Jung Hae In, joking that she regretted not having their contact information and that she had expressed her desire to invite them. She said some celebrities had always politely expressed interest in visiting “Narae Bar” but never actually followed through.
Later that year, at the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards, she even mentioned Jung Hae In directly on stage, saying it was “a great day to recruit VIP members for Narae Bar.”
Now that the controversy has grown, those clips are being widely shared again. Online reactions include comments such as, “In hindsight, they really dodged a bullet,” “It feels completely different watching this now,” and “Back then it was a joke, but the atmosphere has totally changed.”
As police investigations into not only the alleged illegal procedures but also other controversies surrounding Park Na Rae move into a critical phase, the issue is expanding beyond entertainment gossip into questions of legal responsibility and public trust. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the fallout is expected to grow even further.
