Top model Yano Shiho grabbed viewers’ attention with her refreshingly blunt and honest take on married life with husband Choo Sung Hoon.
On the December 16 episode of SBS’s variety show 'Dolsing Fourmen,' Yano Shiho appeared as a guest alongside Lee Hye Jung and Jenny Park, sharing candid stories about marriage, relationships, and daily life.
During the broadcast, Yano revealed that she and Choo Sung Hoon currently live what she called a “seasonal marriage.” She explained, “As Sung Hoon’s YouTube channel has taken off, he’s been filming a lot. We couldn’t see each other for three to four months at a time. Now I come to Korea more often, so we meet about once a month.”
She added with a laugh, “Sung Hoon doesn’t really keep in touch. But there’s a good side to it. When we were together all the time, we fought constantly. Being apart actually makes us more grateful for each other,” pointing out the unexpected benefits of a long-distance marriage.

The studio erupted in laughter when Yano responded without hesitation to a sudden question: “Have you ever wanted to divorce Choo Sung Hoon?” She emphasized, “All the time,” delivering what became the episode’s most talked-about moment.
Her straight-shooting remarks about her husband continued. When Lee Sang Min mentioned that Choo Sung Hoon’s popularity in Japan is overshadowed by his wife’s fame, Yano replied dryly, “He’s popular in Korea, but in Japan… I’m not so sure,” drawing loud laughter from the cast.
She also spoke frankly about finances, saying she had no idea about her husband’s extravagant accessory purchases. “I didn’t know he was buying them. We manage our money separately, so I wouldn’t know,” she said, revealing their strict approach to financial independence.
Yano Shiho’s cool-headed perspective on remarriage also sparked discussion. Addressing the 'Dolsing Fourmen' members, who have openly expressed interest in remarrying, she remarked, “After learning all the hard lessons, you still want to get married again?”
When Kim Jun Ho argued that he married for true love, Yano countered, “You can love someone without getting married. After experiencing all the hardships of marriage, I don’t understand why anyone would choose that difficult path again,” offering pointed advice.
Despite her sharp humor, Yano also showed a softer side when speaking about her husband’s fights. “When Sung Hoon loses a match, my heart really hurts. It hurts like a breakup,” she said. “You guys have been divorced, so you know that feeling. It’s exactly the same,” revealing her deep affection and adding a surprising emotional twist to her candid remarks.
