NewJeans has reportedly deactivated the temporary account “NJZ,” which they had used during their exclusive contract dispute.
According to multiple media outlets on December 1, the social media account “NJZ,” created by NewJeans members to communicate with fans amid tensions with ADOR, is now inactive.
The account was established in February as the members’ temporary activity name, “NJZ,” replacing their original group name, “NewJeans,” during the height of the contract dispute with ADOR. At the time, the members used the channel to share updates, statements, and messages directly with fans, signaling their intent to pursue independent activities.
However, the situation shifted after a court ruling on October 30 sided with ADOR in confirming the validity of the exclusive contract. Following the decision, members Haerin and Hyein expressed their intention to return to ADOR, with Minji, Hani, and Danielle subsequently deciding to rejoin as well, effectively bringing the dispute to a close.
Industry observers suggest that this move indicates NewJeans is ending its independent brand use and reorganizing as a group under ADOR. ADOR has confirmed that preparations for NewJeans’ full album are complete, heightening fan expectations for a complete group comeback and future release schedule.
Meanwhile, Min Hee Jin, the former ADOR CEO who originally planned NewJeans, recently launched a new entertainment company, OOAK Records.
