Actress Nam Bo Ra, who recently shared that she is six months pregnant, will be revealing her newlywed home with a stunning Han River view on KBS 2TV’s 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.'
The December 12 broadcast will showcase a special joint cooking session between Nam Bo Ra, widely known as the eldest daughter of a family of 13 siblings, and her mother. In the episode, Nam Bo Ra’s entire family gathers to hold the “1st Nam Family Sports Day,” leading her mother and Nam Bo Ra to prepare an impressive array of large-quantity dishes.
The episode also marks the first variety show appearance of Nam Bo Ra’s mother. While chatting with her daughter in the living room, she looks out the window and says, “It’s nice seeing it during the day too. I’ve only seen it at night before,” expressing her admiration for the view. Attention is drawn to the newlywed home’s floor-to-ceiling windows, warm sunlight pouring in, and a powerful panorama that includes both the Han River and Namsan. From the living room, even Seoul’s traffic conditions are visible, leaving the 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' cast in amazement.
MC Boom jokingly commented, “I should come to this house during the fireworks festival,” drawing laughter. It was later revealed that during the most recent fireworks festival, Nam Bo Ra’s entire family actually gathered at her newlywed home, shared a meal, and watched the fireworks. Footage from that day, along with the breathtaking Han River city view that stunned everyone, will be revealed in the broadcast.
On the same day, Nam Bo Ra and her mother prepare dishes to bring to the family sports event. Known for raising 13 children, Nam Bo Ra’s mother demonstrates her signature large-scale cooking skills, while Nam Bo Ra shows that she has inherited her mother’s culinary touch. The mother reveals the family’s secret broth and special sauce, two key recipes she relied on to feed her large family, and uses them to effortlessly create a variety of dishes. The cast members comment that what makes it even more remarkable is that she prepared meals like this every day.
Special MC Kang Soo Jung, who joined the episode, shared, “I’m already struggling raising just one child, so this is truly admirable,” expressing her respect for Nam Bo Ra’s mother.
Nam Bo Ra, born in 1989, made her debut after gaining public attention as the eldest of 13 siblings and has appeared in works such as 'Screening Humanity' and 'Carrusel.' She married a same-age youth counselor this past May. The couple reportedly first met through volunteer work in 2019 and later developed their relationship into marriage.
