Broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo released medical records from nearly nine years ago as part of a second official statement addressing allegations related to the so-called “Injection Aunt” controversy.
On December 23, Jun Hyun Moo’s agency SM C&C issued an official press release explaining that the matter involves medical treatment that took place approximately nine years ago. The agency stated that obtaining official documentation required Jun Hyun Moo to personally visit the hospital, which led to the release of an additional statement following the first official response.
SM C&C disclosed copies of Jun Hyun Moo’s 2016 medical records, as well as hospital income and payment records. According to the agency, the documents confirm that Jun Hyun Moo received legitimate medical treatment at a hospital on January 14, January 20, and January 26, 2016. The medical records reportedly include all standard information related to treatment, such as the dates and times of care, the patient’s name, diagnoses, symptom details, and the hospital’s name.
The agency further stated that official hospital income statistics and payment records corresponding to those dates confirm that the treatments were billed and processed as standard medical services provided through a licensed medical institution.

Regarding the disposal of medical materials, SM C&C explained that after receiving IV treatment on January 20, 2016, Jun Hyun Moo followed prior instructions from medical staff and returned the stored medical waste during his follow-up hospital visit on January 26. The agency added that the treatment was administered for conditions including pharyngitis, laryngitis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease, and consisted mainly of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, and gastrointestinal medicine. The IV infusion was described as a supplementary medical procedure conducted as part of the overall treatment plan.
SM C&C emphasized that the disclosed materials demonstrate that Jun Hyun Moo’s medical treatment at the time was carried out lawfully under the judgment of licensed medical professionals at a medical institution. The agency concluded by stating that the allegations currently being raised are not true and that it will fully cooperate by submitting all relevant materials should any fact-finding procedures be conducted by the relevant authorities.
The controversy escalated after it was revealed that comedian Park Na Rae and SHINee’s Key, who both appear alongside Jun Hyun Moo on MBC’s 'I Live Alone,' had received illegal medical procedures from an individual identified as “Injection Aunt” A. Both Park Na Rae and Key subsequently stepped down from all programs they were appearing on, including 'I Live Alone.'
Following these developments, a photo of Jun Hyun Moo receiving an IV drip in a car, which had aired on 'I Live Alone' approximately nine years ago, resurfaced online and drew renewed attention. Previously, on December 19, Jun Hyun Moo’s agency explained that the scene showed the final stage of treatment following a hospital visit and a physician’s diagnosis and prescription. Due to the limited time before filming, the doctor determined that the treatment could be completed while Jun Hyun Moo was in transit, and part of that process was shown on the broadcast.
The agency stressed that all medical procedures, aside from the completion of treatment, were conducted inside the hospital under medical supervision, and firmly denied claims that Jun Hyun Moo personally summoned medical personnel or received any illegal medical treatment.
