GOT7’s Youngjae shared warmth through a meaningful act of giving for marginalized lives ahead of the cold winter season.
Youngjae recently donated 30 million KRW (~21,000 USD) to Korean Dogs Rainbow Shelter, a rescue shelter for abandoned dogs. The donation was made in the name of his beloved family member and pet dog, Coco, who crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year, adding deeper significance to the gesture.
Despite his busy schedule, Youngjae has consistently practiced hands-on volunteer work beyond financial support, personally visiting the shelter to care for abandoned dogs and help clean the kennels.
The donated funds are expected to greatly assist rescued dogs in recovering their health in a more comfortable environment, preparing to meet new families, and improving the shelter’s aging facilities.
Through this heartwarming donation that helped ease the winter cold, Youngjae continues to fulfill his duty to the nation as a public service worker and is expected to return to the public with a more mature presence after completing his service.
