G-Dragon has revealed a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the 2025 MAMA Awards, offering fans a candid look at his time in Hong Kong.
on December 2, the singer uploaded several images to his social media account with the caption “2025 MAMA Awards,” sharing moments captured on November 29 at the Kai Tak stadium.
The photos show G-Dragon in various settings, including backstage, his waiting room, and his accommodation. in some shots, he playfully uses his extensions as a fake beard, while others feature his close friends, model Lee Soo Hyuk and Hong Kong actor Chow Yun Fat, posing warmly with him. another photo shows him looking exhausted and unshaven, drawing laughter from fans. The four trophies he received at the event also stand out in the collection.
G-Dragon attended the ceremony as one of the night’s biggest winners. He took home four awards: Artist of the year—one of the ceremony’s top honors—Best Male Artist, Best Dance Performance – Male Solo, and Fans’ Choice Top 10. however, his live performance sparked mixed reactions.
During the show, G-Dragon performed several of his hit songs, including “Crooked,” “Crayon,” “Drama,” “Untitled, 2014,” and “Heartbreaker.” yet his vocals were widely criticized for being unstable throughout the set. Even the singer himself acknowledged the issue, leaving a thumbs-down “Boom-tta” emoji on the MAMA Awards’ official social media in reference to his own performance.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is set to hold the encore shows for his third world tour, G-Dragon 2025 World Tour [übermensch], from December 12 to 14 at the Gokcheok Sky Dome in Seoul. Many are watching closely to see whether he will put the "Live performance controversy” behind him with the upcoming concerts.
