G-Dragon has directly addressed the recent criticism regarding his live performance skills to his fans.
On December 12, during his 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch]' concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, G-Dragon broke his silence on the matter.
During the concert, G-Dragon asked the audience, "Are there any grounds for controversy today?" He continued, "If so, that's a shame. Even if there are, please bear with me. I'm just doing what I do, and I'm just working hard at it. If you don't like it, then don't."
He further expressed his thoughts, stating, "It surprises me that a controversy would arise now, after I've been doing this for 19 years." When fans in the audience shouted "Perfect" in support, he responded, "Oh, it's certainly not perfect. I also have many stages where I feel regret. It's not about being perfect, but just working hard day by day. It depends on my condition, but today was just 'adequate'. I could hit 'like' on it."
Previously, G-Dragon faced backlash for consecutive live performance issues. Last year, he returned to a public broadcast year-end stage for the first time in 8 years at the SBS Gayo Daejeon, but was criticized for being off-beat and having unintelligible lyrics due to a raspy vocal style.
At his solo concert in Goyang last March, he disappointed fans by keeping them waiting for 74 minutes and skipping entire sections of songs once the delayed concert began.

Most recently, at the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' held in Hong Kong, he performed his new song 'DRAMA' along with hits like 'Heartbreaker' and 'Untitled', but his actual voice was barely audible. He relied heavily on AR (recorded backing vocals) and was seen dancing with the microphone without singing for significant portions, effectively failing to perform the songs live.
While G-Dragon had previously expressed his own disappointment by using "thumbs down" emojis on videos of his performance, this marks the first time he has openly discussed his feelings about the controversy during a concert.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon will conclude his 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch]' encore concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul today (December 14) at 5 PM KST.
