EXO member Sehun will attend the official opening ceremony of Hyundai Card Super Match 14, a global tennis event featuring a highly anticipated showdown between world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and world No. 2 Jannik Sinner.
Event organizer SEMA Sports Marketing announced, “The Hyundai Card Super Match, set to take place on January 10 next year at Inspire Arena in Incheon, will be a once-in-a-lifetime special match as the current world No. 1 and No. 2, Alcaraz and Sinner, visit Korea to compete.”
Ahead of the match, Sehun will kick off the event by conducting the official opening ceremony coin toss.
The coin toss is a formal pre-match procedure in tennis in which a coin is flipped to determine which player chooses the serve or side of the court. At major international tournaments, it is often presented as a symbolic opening ceremony featuring a notable figure to signal the start of the match.
Sehun is known to have a strong interest in tennis as well as various other sports.
A representative from SEMA Sports Marketing stated, “With Sehun’s participation in the opening ceremony, we expect to heighten the sense of immersion and anticipation from the very beginning of the event.”
