
YouTube has released its annual end of year 'Culture & Trends Report' for 2025, detailing the top 10 lists of the year's most-subscribed creators, top trending topics, and top songs across all countries and regions. In particular, 2025 was a year of unexpected newcomers for K-Pop, from the hit Netflix animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' to the rise of global rookies like KATSEYE and ALLDAY PROJECT.

In the United States, hot trending topics deriving from K-Pop included 'Squid Game', 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' and KATSEYE. "Soda Pop" by Saja Boys made the list of top songs on shorts at #8 and top songs at #4, along with a handful of other 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' soundtracks like "Golden", "Your Idol", and "How It's Done" taking up spots in top songs. Of course, 2025 was also the year of Rosé and Bruno Mars, landing at #2 on the top songs list with "APT.".

In South Korea, dramas like 'Squid Game' and 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' joined 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' as some of the hottest screen productions of 2025. In terms of trending artists, explosive rookies like ALLDAY PROJECT, Kim Yong Bin, and Hearts2Hearts garnered attention.
MMA fighter Choo Sung Hoon was the #1 content creator on YouTube in 2025 for South Korea.
Meanwhile, making waves on K-YouTube shorts were K-Pop numbers like "JUMP" by BLACKPINK, "Rebel Heart" by IVE, and "If I Say, I Love You" by BOYNEXTDOOR. Finally, the top songs like for Korea featured this year's steady chart toppers like "Drowning", "Home Sweet Home", "Like JENNIE", and more.
