Yoo Yeon Seok and Lee Som are set to lead the upcoming SBS drama 'Shin Yi Rang’s Law Firm' (literal title), taking on a one-of-a-kind legal partnership unlike any other.
'Shin Yi Rang’s Law Firm' is described as a quirky yet heartfelt adventure following attorney Shin Yi Rang, who can see ghosts, and elite lawyer Han Na Hyun as they handle the grievances of highly unusual clients. These clients are ghosts seeking justice, and the story follows the duo as they navigate mysteries, uncover hidden truths, and face the emotional stories left behind by the dead.
Yoo Yeon Seok stars as Shin Yi Rang, an attorney who begins seeing ghosts after opening a law office in a building that previously housed a shaman. Although he appears dependable, he is timid and sometimes clumsy, yet he remains unwavering when confronting ghost clients burdened by tragic pasts. One distinctive aspect of his character is the possession phenomenon in which each client's unique traits seep into his body. This causes him to transform unpredictably into a completely different person regardless of age or gender.
Lee Som takes on the role of Han Na Hyun, a top attorney at a major law firm with a flawless win rate. For her, success is defined entirely by winning cases, and her cold and
uncompromising work style has secured her spot at the top of the industry. Her path shifts drastically after she suffers an unexpected loss at the hands of Shin Yi Rang.
At first, she dismisses him completely for claiming he can see ghosts. As strange incidents begin unfolding before her eyes and as Shin Yi Rang's sincerity becomes undeniable, her perspective slowly changes. Beneath her composed exterior are unhealed wounds, and through their unusual partnership, she gradually regains emotional warmth.
One of the drama's main points of appeal is the exhilarating teamwork between the two attorneys, each possessing strengths that complement the other. Shin Yi Rang communicates directly with ghost clients and sometimes absorbs their memories and abilities through possession advocacy, which allows him to uncover crucial clues at the center of each case. Han Na Hyun uses logic and legal expertise to interpret these clues and connect the dots. As the two attorneys who once stood on opposite sides begin working together to pursue the truth, their chemistry becomes even more compelling.
