Reports from industry insiders indicate that conflict is emerging between the members of NewJeans, due to disagreement on Min Hee Jin’s role in their lives going forward.
According to South Korean news source Munhwa Ilbo, there are differences of opinion among three members of NewJeans regarding the amount of distance that should exist between NewJeans and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. Reportedly, the three want Min Hee Jin to return to her role as producer for the group. The members (speculated to be Danielle, Hanni, and Minji) are allegedly using this as a 'condition' that must be met in order for them to return to the group.
Reports indicate that this is a significant factor in the ongoing negotiations between ADOR and Danielle, Hanni, and Minji; as the company has confirmed Hyein and Haerin’s return but not the other three members.
Today, ADOR was asked to comment on these rumors—in particular, the report that Danielle, Hanni, and Minji are requesting Min Hee Jin’s reinstatement as producer, as a condition for their return to the group. In response to these rumors, ADOR stated: “It’s difficult to confirm or deny.” ADOR’s ambiguous answer has only fueled the rumors further.
