NewJeans's Minji and Danielle have recently held individual meetings with their agency ADOR, according to a report from SPOTV News on November 20.
The meetings were arranged to allow both sides to confirm each other’s positions amid ongoing discussions about the group’s future activities. Hanni, who is currently known to be staying in Antarctica, has not yet participated in an individual meeting.
This development follows the announcement by NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein, who declared their return to ADOR ahead of the appeal deadline for their first-trial loss in the exclusive contract validity lawsuit. After their decision was made public through ADOR, the remaining members, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle, also released a statement through their legal representatives, saying, “After careful consideration, we have decided to return to ADOR. As the company has not responded, we were inevitably forced to announce this separately.”
The three members' unilateral declaration came without prior discussion with ADOR. In response, the agency stated it was “verifying the intent behind the announcement” and later added that it was “coordinating individual meetings with the members” to confirm whether they indeed wished to resume activities with ADOR.
During these individual meetings, both sides reportedly shared their views and discussed the conditions necessary for the members’ potential return. Attention is now focused on whether these discussions may lead to a full reunion between ADOR and all NewJeans members.
Previously, NewJeans had lost their lawsuit over the validity of their exclusive contracts with ADOR and accepted the first-trial ruling without appeal. Haerin and Hyein decided to return to the agency after deliberate discussions with their families and ADOR, with the agency officially announcing their comeback.
ADOR stated, “After thorough discussions with their families, the two members decided to respect the court’s ruling and comply with their exclusive contracts. ADOR will do its utmost to support Haerin and Hyein so they can continue their activities smoothly. We kindly ask fans for warm support and respectfully request that unfounded speculation about the members be avoided.”
