The social media user, referred to as 'A,' who repeatedly reverted claims surrounding actor Lee Yi Kyung's private life, has deleted their account again. This time, they cited being "threatened by an unknown person."
On November 14, 'A' posted on social media: “I am being seriously threatened by someone I don’t know, so I will delete my account,” and immediately removed it. They added, “The person threatening me is not affiliated with Lee Yi Kyung. Stop spreading weird rumors,” seemingly aware of potential misunderstandings. However, the account deletion offered no clear explanation, and A’s repeated reverts only heightened confusion.
Previously, 'A' claimed to be a “German netizen” and shared screenshots of messages with Lee Yi Kyung, including sexually explicit content, sparking public backlash. Lee Yi Kyung’s team responded, stating, “Everything is false, and legal action is being prepared.” 'A' then abruptly claimed the content had been “manipulated by AI” and deleted the posts, reverting their claims again.
The confusion continued when 'A' reopened their account, asserting “It’s not AI,” “I am the victim, yet I’m being made out as the villain,” and “I’ve never been sued,” directly contradicting prior explanations. Netizens reacted critically, commenting, “Their story changes every day—is this real?” “They keep contradicting themselves, so it’s even more confusing,” and “Do they think deleting the account ends everything?”
During this ongoing chaos, Lee Yi Kyung withdrew from MBC’s 'Hangout with Yoo' and canceled joining KBS’s 'The Return of Superman.' However, these departures were reportedly due to scheduling conflicts and unrelated to the personal controversy. Sightings also reported that Lee Yi Kyung is currently filming overseas. His agency stated that, regardless of A’s frequent reverts and account deletions, “Legal action has already been initiated, and we will continue to pursue it.”
Online criticism of A’s repeated reverts and deletions continues. Netizens commented, “They change their story every day—who could believe this?” “Exposé → AI → invalid → threat → deletion… It’s like their own drama,” and “If they are truly the victim, they should be consistent, not keep changing.” Some also expressed skepticism, suggesting, “If they were really threatened, they should have reported it first.”
