Actress Lee Joo Bin revealed her real height.
On the November 25 episode of the YouTube channel Life84, Lee Joo Bin appeared as a guest.
Lee Joo Bin shared that she joined the show at the recommendation of actor Kwon Hwa Woon. Curious about their connection, she asked Kian84 "How do you know Hwa Woon?" Kian84 replied, "We became close through running. He used to be the top celebrity runner, but now he's been bumped down to second place. He still messages me all the time to go running."
Lee Joo Bin then revealed that she had also been invited to film a running YouTube video. "He asked me to shoot a running video too, but I can't run. I wondered how I was supposed to go on that show. Then he mentioned you, so I said I'd do it as long as it didn't involve actual running."
Kian84 told her, "Hwa Woon talks about you a lot. He said he had never seen someone with such a small face in his life. He saw a photo and thought you were around 174cm. How tall are you, anyway?" Lee Joo Bin responded, "I'm 161cm, but my profile says 163cm."
When Kian84 questioned why female celebrities would need to raise their listed height, Lee Joo Bin explained her reason. "I think it was because of that. I worked as a fitting model, commercial model, wedding model… and most of the models were around 170cm. They rarely hired models who were shorter."
Kian84 commented, "You broke that barrier with your proportions," to which she modestly replied, "Thankfully, when they shifted toward hiring shorter models, I ended up getting a lot of work."
Lee Joo Bin also talked about her past as a trainee in the debut lineup for Rainbow. "I trained for a short time during high school," she said. "It wasn't so much that I desperately wanted to be a celebrity. Trainees finished school at fourth period and were sent to the company. Since I wasn't big on studying, I liked the idea of skipping classes, so I'd go to the company and keep practicing. That led me to major in Broadcasting and Entertainment. As I kept doing it, it became fun. I thought, if I work hard, maybe I could become an actress? So I tried it for one more year, then two more… and somehow, it turned into ten."
