K-Beauty has officially arrived in Manhattan.
The new tvN show 'Perfect Glow' premiered on November 8, following a 'dream team' of Korean stars and beauty experts as they opened a pop-up salon, 'DANJANG', in New York City.
The 'dream team' includes CEO Ra Mi Ran, manager Park Min Young, and 'shampoo guy' Joo Jong Hyuk, alongside Korea's top beauty masters Cha Hong (hair), Pony, and Leojay (makeup).
While the team was nervous about whether their K-Beauty style would work on diverse New Yorkers, they had a hugely successful first day.

The most touching moment came with their final client, Mary Kate, a tired mother of two who was struggling with postpartum life. She told Park Min Young, "I'm just a very exhausted mom." But after seeing the actress, Mary Kate was amazed, "Your skin is incredible! I want to look like you. Please give me a Korean actress makeover!"
The entire team worked together to give her a 'K-Glow.' Leojay gave her a rosy, youthful face, and Cha Hong added hair extensions to restore her postpartum hair loss. The transformation was so dramatic that her two-year-old daughter hilariously didn't recognize her and started to cry.
"This experience will be a huge part of my life," Mary Kate said, moved to tears. "I feel like I've found my old self again."
The show wasn't just about beauty. The team also won over their clients by sharing a 'K-Welcome Food' set, including omija tea, yakgwa (honey cookies), and dalgona, giving New Yorkers a full cultural experience.
Fans were especially impressed with Park Min Young, who, despite worrying she was "not fluent yet," handled all the client consultations with perfect, gentle English and genuine empathy, charming everyone who walked in the door.
'Perfect Glow' airs every Saturday at 10:50 PM KST on tvN and TVING.
