Koo Hye Sun continues to prove there is nothing she can't do, adding CEO and inventor to her already long list of titles, which includes actress, movie director, singer-songwriter, writer, and illustrator.
Recently, the 41-year-old star posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, "My eyes came out looking transparent. The sunlight is nice." In the photo, Koo Hye Sun is seen enjoying a quiet moment by the window, smiling while holding a hair roller. Fans were quick to praise her youthful beauty and "girl-next-door" charm.
But the hair roller in her hand is more than just a prop—it's her new business. Koo Hye Sun has successfully transformed from an actress to a CEO after she personally researched, developed, and patented a new type of hair roller.
She previously revealed her inspiration on TV show 'Radio Star', saying, "I saw students walking around with hair rollers in their hair and thought, 'Why do they always have to be that shape?'" She explained her invention, "You can roll it up when you use it, but when you're not, you can flatten it out and wear it" (as an accessory).
Koo Hye Sun's new career comes on the heels of impressive academic achievements. The actress, famous for her role in 'Boys Over Flowers', recently proved she has both beauty and brains by returning to college in her late 30s and graduating summa cum laude (as valedictorian) from Sungkyunkwan University.
She didn't stop there. In June 2024, she made headlines again after being accepted into a master's program at KAIST, one of Korea's top science and technology universities.
