On November 4 KST, Japanese entertainment tabloids Shūkan Bunshun and FRIDAY reported that NiziU's Nina (20) was dating guitarist Wakai Hiroto (29) of Mrs. Green Apple.
The reports stated, "Nina recently visited Wakai Hiroto's home late in the evening, and the two enjoyed a late night date." They further claimed, "Wakai Hiroto has been a fan of Nina since 'Nizi Project'. He was introduced to Nina through Ohmori Motoki (vocalist) of Mrs. Green Apple. Ohmori Motoki previously participated as a lyricist and composer for NiziU's 'AlwayS'."
In response to the reports, Wakai Hiroto's label Project-MGA commented, "The reports are different from the facts," while Nina's label JYP Entertainment said, "Nina and Wakai Hiroto are well-acquainted sunbae-hoobaes. They are not in a relationship."
