BTS member Jungkook showed off his skills as a “cooking master,” unveiling a new pasta recipe during a personal live broadcast on the fan community Weverse on November 24th KST. The stream drew an astonishing 6.4 million viewers in real time.
Jungkook began the broadcast from his home kitchen, saying he had turned on the live because he was hungry. Early in the stream, he raised fans’ anticipation by carefully sharpening a knife for a long time. He then declared, “Making a new pasta again today,” before getting fully into cooking.
He thinly sliced ten cloves of garlic and separated the green and white parts of scallions to use the whites for flavored oil. He then prepared large shrimp himself, removing the heads and shells, commenting that “the color looks so pretty.”
Jungkook added scallions and shrimp heads to olive oil to create scallion-infused oil, then stir-fried garlic, peperoncino, and black pepper. He mixed water with uni soy sauce, heavy cream, butter, and sugar to build a rich, savory base. After adding linguine and tossing it together, he grated cheese on top and tasted it, nodding repeatedly as he said, “It’s delicious. Amazing.”
The finished dish was a “uni soy sauce cream shrimp pasta.” As he plated the dish, topping it with scallions and freshly grated cheese, he remarked, “The seasoning is perfect. I could sell this.” He also teased his next creation, saying he wanted to “make a pasta that doesn’t exist in the world,” and hinted at trying a doenjang curry pasta next, raising fans’ excitement.
Jungkook’s cooking live drew enthusiasm not only for the flavors he described but also for sharing every moment of his natural performance, visuals, and changing expressions in real time.
He has previously continued to showcase a variety of self-made recipes, including “Bulguri,” “truffle cream pasta,” “deulgireum makguksu,” and “rajuk,” steadily building his cooking content.
