Dawn recently shared the news of a family member passing away.
On November 17, Dawn announced that his grandfather had passed away. He wrote, "My grandfather, who meant more to our family than anyone else in the world, passed away today." He also revealed that his grandfather had passed away on his grandmother's memorial day. Dawn added, "It feels as though the two of them are telling us not to worry about the family."
Although their final moments together were brief, he emphasized how deeply they stayed with him. Dawn wrote, "We didn’t have much time together, but the recent days were more precious than anything," adding, "The weather is cold, and I didn’t want to trouble my acquaintances with a long journey, so I didn’t send separate funeral notices."
He concluded by asking, "I would be grateful if you could pray for my grandfather to walk his new path in peace." The post also included photos of Dawn with his grandfather from childhood, which moved many fans.
Dawn, who debuted with Pentagon in 2016 before leaving the group in 2018, has been active as a solo artist.
He has steadily broadened his musical spectrum. His EP, released last year, received praise for its experimental sound and emotive performance style, further strengthening his domestic and international fanbase. He has also gained recognition as a style icon through collaborations with various fashion brands, and continues to build a distinct artistic identity through unique concepts and stage direction.
