President Lee Jae Myung revealed his secret to reconciling after marital arguments with his wife, First Lady Kim Hye Kyung.
On the October 6 "Chuseok Special" broadcast of JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,' President Lee Jae Myung and First Lady Kim Hye Kyung appeared as guests.
Before their entrance to the film set, host Ahn Jung Hwan exclaimed, "We've had many guests on this show, but I never thought these two would appear on 'Take Care of My Refrigerator.' Someone please pinch me!"

Backstage, the First Couple surprised viewers with their candid interactions. The First Lady Kim Hye Kyung was heard instructing her husband, "Suck in your stomach, don't slouch, and don't stick your head out like that," as she adjusted his posture.
Making his first TV appearance since taking office, President Lee said, "It's been such a long time since I've been on a show, so it feels a bit awkward. When I think of Chuseok, the word abundance comes to mind first. I hope everyone has a joyful and plentiful holiday." First Lady Kim added, "I hope everyone enjoys a delicious and happy Chuseok with your families."

When asked if she watches 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,' Kim admitted, "I'm such a fan of the chefs. I'm so nervous right now. I have a lot of bias toward this show." President Lee added, "My wife watches a lot of cooking programs."
During this Chuseok Special episode, President Lee commented, "When you think of Chuseok, it's all about abundant food. Our culture itself is a national asset. K-pop and K-content are important, but the core of our culture is food. K-food has sustainability," emphasizing it as a next-generation key industry.

When asked, "What is your favorite dish your wife cooks?" the President replied, "There are too many to choose from, but I really like braised mackerel with dried radish greens. The second would be ratatouille, though I don't usually eat Western food, that one is delicious."
President Lee also mentioned that during their courtship, they often ate pork cutlets together, but when asked for more details, he glanced nervously at his wife. Kim Hye Kyung humorously warned host Kim Sung Soo, "You shouldn't stir up troubles in a household during the holidays," making everyone laugh.

According to the production team, even in the middle of a couple's quarrel, the First Couple still shares meals. First Lady Kim admitted, "If I don't give him food, that later becomes a reason for the next fight. Sometimes the entire side-dish container goes straight to the table (instead of being put into nice side-dish plates)."

She also shared another story, saying, "Whenever we fight, my husband has had this habit since we were young. He writes letters. But instead of a long, sweet letter, it's usually an apology letter." President Lee smiled and admitted, "Well, since I'm the one who caused the argument," showing a warm and affectionate side of their relationship.
