Anticipation is building for Netflix's upcoming crime thriller 'As You Stood By,' set to air on November 7.

The series has been gaining much attention since the production announcement, thanks to its bold premise and striking cast. 'As You Stood By' is a crime-mystery thriller that follows two women, Eun Soo (portrayed by Jeon So Nee) and Hee Soo (played by Lee Yoo Mi), who are faced with the harsh reality of domestic violence, and decide to commit murder. As events spiral out of control, they become entangled in an unexpected chain of incidents.

Eun Soo, who works at a luxury department store, carries the trauma of her childhood, while Hee Soo, once a promising children's book author, endures hellish days under the domestic abuse of her husband, Jin Pyo (played by Jang Seung Jo).

In the latest trailer, Jin Pyo's cruelty is evident as he looks at Hee Soo's bruised right arm and says, "Better make your makeup perfect." Upon hearing this, Eun Soo confronts her friend, "Is this... okay?" Determined to save Hee Soo, she gives a steely glare and says, "Let's kill your husband." Hee Soo ultimately conspires with Eun Soo to carry out the murder.

The trailer fully captures the desperation of their situation and hints at the series' high-intensity plot. In the final moments of the trailer, Eun Soo and Hee Soo are seen struggling, fighting, and even falling into the sea as they try to execute their plan. Jin Pyo, meanwhile, does not remain passive. He expresses his raw anger and heightens the tension for viewers.

The trailer ends with the voice of a GPS saying, “You have deviated from the route,” symbolizing that the two women have gone beyond any possibility of turning back.

Lee Moo Saeng appears as Jin So Baek, the head of Jin Kang Corporation. Though he notices the women's plan, he surprisingly becomes a supportive ally, adding another layer of mystery.

The series is based on the novel 'Naomi and Kanako' by popular Japanese author Hideo Okuda.

Directed by Lee Jung Rim, known for SBS dramas like 'Revenant' and 'VIP,' 'As You Stood By' benefits from her meticulous and sophisticated storytelling. Even before its release, the series was officially invited to the “On Screen” section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival, highlighting its artistic merit.

Produced as an eight-episode series, 'As You Stood By' will be available worldwide exclusively on Netflix starting November 7.
