A model and actor, identified only as A, revealed as a recruiter who sold Korean women to a Cambodian criminal organization for adult broadcasting exploitation.
According to the Dong-A Ilbo, in April of last year, A deceived a woman in her 30s, identified as B, who had arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, by claiming to need a Japanese interpreter. B was then sold to the criminal organization for 5 million KRW (approximately 3,500 USD).
B was reportedly held captive for a month, forced to appear in adult broadcasts, and subjected to physical abuse when her earnings failed to meet the quotas set by the organization. Fortunately, she was dramatically rescued by her family. However, according to B’s testimony, screams for help were heard from neighboring rooms, suggesting that there may be additional victims.
A is known domestically as a minor-role actor and model whose profile can be found on Korean search portals.
