Actor Lee Dong Wook spoke out about recent incidents of privacy invasion.
On October 14, his agency KINGKONG by Starship Entertainment released an official statement addressing the matter, saying, “Recently, there have been cases of individuals visiting Lee Dong Wook’s residence and private spaces without permission, attempting to make contact, or leaving inappropriate letters. These actions constitute clear violations of his privacy.”
The agency also made it clear that legal measures are being considered. “We will take strict legal action against all forms of privacy infringement, including unauthorized visits to the artist’s home, intrusion into private spaces, tracking of unofficial schedules, and leaks of personal information.”
KINGKONG by Starship further emphasized that even attempts to obtain or use flight information are considered violations.“Acquiring flight details through improper means or boarding the same flight to approach the artist during overseas or personal schedules will also be regarded as acts of privacy invasion,” the agency warned.
The statement continued, “Such behavior is a clear violation of the law. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in respecting the artist’s safety and rights. Our company will continue to take every possible measure to protect our artist.”
Meanwhile, Lee Dong Wook is set to appear in Season 2 of the Disney+ series 'A Shop for Killers,' scheduled for release next year.
