Singer Kwon Eun Bi opened up about the reason she paid for her older brother’s wedding in full during the October 7 broadcast of MBN’s Chuseok special 'Don Makase', where she appeared alongside MC Hong Seok Cheon and chef Lee Won Il.
When asked if her family brags about her often, Kwon Eun Bi laughed, “They do it so much. I used to tell them not to, but now I actually enjoy it.”

She then shared, “My brother and I are just a year apart. When he got married, I paid for the entire wedding. When I was young, I wanted to attend a performing arts high school. The tuition and entrance fees were expensive, and I wanted to continue pursuing my dream of becoming a singer, but my parents were against it.”
Kwon Eun Bi continued, “Back then, my brother was in high school and secretly helped cover some of my entrance exam academy fees without our parents knowing. It wasn’t a small amount of money. I felt so grateful that I promised myself, ‘I will succeed and help my brother when he needs it,’ and I wanted to keep that promise.”
She also reflected on their relationship, saying, “We haven’t really talked about it, but I think he feels burdened. After that, I thought I shouldn’t help him too much. Every time I try to help, he says, ‘It’s okay,’ and refuses to take more. That attitude makes me feel both thankful and sorry.”
