On October 10 KST, IU shared a set of selcas from the filming set of her new drama series, '21st Century Princess Consort'.
The singer/actress treated fans to the new selcas via the Kakao-owned fan communication platform Berriez, raising anticipation for her upcoming role as Sung Hee Joo.
Notably, IU wore a bold red suit in the selcas reminiscent of her character Jang Man Wol from 'Hotel Del Luna', also channeling Jang Man Wol through her chic expression. Many fans are wondering how IU will portray her new character Sung Hee Joo, the hot-tempered daughter of a chaebol family.
Meanwhile, '21st Century Princess Consort' tells the story of a fictional Korea as a constitutional monarchy. The story follows the daughter of a chaebol family who is discontent about her "non-royalty" status and her encounters with royal prince Yi Ahn, the next in line to ascent the throne. Yi Ahn will be played by Byeon Woo Seok.
