An unidentified insider from the performing industry told TopstarNews on October 30 KST that an EXO member "strongly opposed" Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin's participation in the group's comeback.
This report claimed that several meetings had occurred between SM Entertainment and INB100 over plans for EXO to resume group activities at the end of this year. During these meetings, reps from both sides objectively discussed the amicable conclusion of the legal disputes and directed the discussions in a positive direction to ensure the success of EXO's comeback.
However, one of the members allegedly stated, "We cannot have EXO with Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin," firmly opposing the inclusion of the three members. This supposedly led to a disagreement over the full group activities among the members.
The report also claimed that SM Entertainment did not inform Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin in advance of its decision to exclude them from the upcoming schedules, suggesting that the three members were "betrayed".
In June of 2024, EXO-CBX held an emergency press conference, accusing SM Entertainment of enforcing an unfair agreement related to the individual activities of the three members. As of October 28 KST, the court has largely sided with SM Entertainment, dismissing the accusations by CBX.
