Bang Si Hyuk, chairman of entertainment agency HYBE, has become South Korea’s wealthiest stockholder among newly listed company founders.

On October 15th KST, corporate research firm CEO Score released data on the stock value of founders from companies that went public after 2020. As of the end of September, the combined stock value held by the top 100 individuals totaled KRW 22.48 trillion.

The survey excluded individuals who inherited shares or companies from their parents, as well as founders of companies listed prior to 2020.

Bang Si Hyuk ranked No. 1 on the list. He reportedly holds 31.6% of HYBE’s shares, which were worth KRW 3.4983 trillion (approx. USD 2.5 billion) as of the end of September.

His shares alone accounted for 15.6% of the total stock value held by the top 100 founders of newly listed companies.
