Hayoung of the girl group Apink is making a comeback after three years by launching her new YouTube channel.
On October 21 at 6 p.m. KST, Hayoung will open her channel titled “OFFICIAL HAYOUNG”, where she plans to showcase her passion for football (soccer) in a natural and entertaining way.
Hayoung is well-known in the idol world as a devoted football fan. A long-time supporter of Manchester United, she closely follows both the English Premier League (EPL) and Korea’s K-League, knowing players’ performances and names by heart. Her deep love for the sport was evident when a photo she posted on social media in September from the “Icon Match” drew significant attention among fans.
Since her debut, Hayoung has been loved for her friendly and approachable image through active communication with fans. Through this new channel, she intends to reveal previously unseen charms by combining football with lifestyle content in a variety-style format.
In particular, she aims to share a football culture from the perspective of women who love the sport—without using terms like “football noobs”—and make the game accessible and enjoyable. Hayoung expressed her heartfelt ambition: “Since I’m starting again after three years, I want to talk about the sport I genuinely love and connect more closely with fans.”
The first episode, released today, features Hayoung’s excitement and sincerity toward football. “I’m back faster than the World Cup,” she says, appearing with a large suitcase and a bright smile. Her witty commentary and variety show flair made for a delightful reintroduction, bringing cheerful energy to her fans.
Finally, Hayoung added, “I want to create a channel where people can naturally enjoy football—how to go to stadiums, understanding the rules, stories about the players—especially from a female perspective. I aim to brand this as a channel that can attract newcomers who previously had no interest in football.” She also shared her desire to “interact with K-League fans and meet more people on-site through live match experiences.”
Hayoung’s “OFFICIAL HAYOUNG” is expected to offer a fresh perspective and fun to viewers who previously felt intimidated by football, while establishing itself as a new-concept football channel that connects with diverse brands and expands its content through the medium of football.
