
Director Park Chan Wook and Ahn Hyo Seop have been named the recipients of this year's Film Artist Award.
The Shinyoung Culture Foundation announced the winners of the 15th Beautiful Artist Awards on October 14, which include director Park Chan Wook, singer Insooni, and actor Ahn Hyo Seop, among a total of five honorees.
Director Park will receive the Film Artist Award in recognition of his contributions to the globalization of Korean cinema. His notable works include 'Oldboy,' 'The Handmaiden,' and 'Decision to Leave.'
Insooni was selected for the Good People Award for her continued charitable work. She operates the volunteer organization “Insooni and Good People” as well as the educational institution “Haemil School.”
Ahn Hyo Seop was chosen as the recipient of the New Artist Award. Through the Netflix film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' he has established himself as a prominent representative of Korean content.
Additionally, Kwak Ji Sook will receive the Theater Artist Award for her role as Barabbas in 'The Jew of Malta,' and Hwang Ki Sung, chairman of Hwang Ki Sung Film Company, will be honored with the Achievement Artist Award.
The Beautiful Artist Awards is an annual ceremony recognizing outstanding achievements in five categories of the arts. This year’s ceremony will take place on October 23.
