Shinwon, a member of K-pop boy group PENTAGON, is officially stepping into the world of acting.
On October 14 KST, his agency Cube Entertainment unveiled a fresh set of profile photos through PENTAGON’s official social media channels. The images feature Shinwon in various styles—from a laid-back denim jacket to a sharp suit look, as well as a dramatic black-and-white portrait—highlighting his versatility and striking visuals, and signaling his next chapter as an actor.
In a message to fans, Shinwon shared his feelings about the transition:
“I feel a mix of nerves and excitement as I step into this new world,” he said. “I’ll turn those emotions into motivation, practice hard, and prepare well so that I can become someone the Universe (PENTAGON’s fandom) can be proud of. Thank you for your support, and please look forward to what’s ahead.”
Having completed his alternative military service as a public service worker last month, Shinwon is now gearing up for full-fledged activities. Known for his exceptional visuals since debut, he has also proven his artistic capabilities by participating in songwriting and composing for PENTAGON’s albums.
Beyond music, Shinwon has been active across various fields: he earned the nickname “God-el” for his model-like presence on multiple fashion week runways, hosted EBS FM’s 'PENTAGON’s Night Radio' with his witty and empathetic communication, and made a cameo appearance in JTBC’s 'Hello, My Twenties! 2,' showing his early acting potential.
Now officially making the transition to acting, Shinwon is expected to appear in various productions in the near future, continuing to connect with fans through a new artistic lens.
