BLACKPINK’s long-awaited comeback is getting closer, with the group now beginning to film their new music video this week — signaling that a return before year-end is on track.
YG Entertainment, which manages BLACKPINK’s group activities, announced on October 20, “BLACKPINK will begin shooting the music video for their new song this week. Both the members and the staff are giving their all to deliver the best possible result.”
The agency added, “We sincerely thank the fans who have been patiently waiting for BLACKPINK’s comeback. The album is currently in its final stages, focused on enhancing musical quality. Once preparations are complete, we’ll share more good news through an official announcement.”
BLACKPINK last released their second full-length album "BORN PINK" on September 16, 2022, which featured the pre-release single “Pink Venom” and title track “Shut Down.” The album achieved massive global success. While continuing their world tour, the group also released the single “JUMP” in July this year.
Although reports recently suggested that BLACKPINK is planning a mid-December comeback, YG Entertainment commented that “no specific date has been set.”
