The individual who accused actress Song Ha Yoon of school bullying has spoken out against rumors that they have been placed on a wanted list, firmly denying the claim and expressing anger at what they described as a criminal frame.
On September 5, SBS’s current affairs program 'Curious Stories Y' (Episode 747) revisited the ongoing controversy surrounding Song Ha Yoon’s alleged school violence.
The accuser, who returned to Korea on August 24 after two decades abroad, described mixed feelings upon their arrival. “I came from the U.S. and received a message saying I was registered on a wanted list for failing to comply with the investigation. I was shocked,” he explained. “Despite being the victim, I am being framed as a fugitive to protect the perpetrator’s career. This is not a wanted order but an investigative notification.”
Song Ha Yoon rose to public recognition for her villainous role in the tvN drama 'Marry My Husband,' which concluded in February last year. However, in April of the same year, she became embroiled in school violence allegations. A person identified as A, who claimed to be a year below Song in high school, alleged on JTBC’s 'Crime Chief' that in August 2004 he was assaulted by Song Ha Yoon for over an hour and a half without cause. A also claimed that Song was subsequently forced to transfer schools due to her involvement in another group assault case.
Song Ha Yoon has denied all allegations. In July, her legal representatives filed a criminal complaint against A, stating that since the school violence claims dating back more than 20 years first surfaced, Song Ha Yoon has consistently maintained they are untrue. Proving something that never happened is inherently difficult, and therefore her initial response was limited. However, she has since gathered substantial evidence refuting A’s claims and has filed a criminal lawsuit.
Her representatives further clarified the procedural background. They explained that in May, after A repeatedly refused to enter Korea and ignored lawful summons without valid reason, the investigative authorities issued a notification disposition. This resulted in A’s name being listed in the police system, though it is not equivalent to a criminal fugitive designation.
The case remains under investigation with both sides standing firm in their positions.
