Super Junior's Shindong expressed his disappointment over being abruptly removed from two variety shows, and he found out about both instances through news articles.
On the September 3 broadcast of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star,' Shindong appeared as a special guest alongside Seo Jang Hoon, Shin Gi Ru, and Na Sun Wook.
During the show, the MCs mentioned how Shindong was unable to continue as an original member of the program 'Great Escape.' Upon hearing this, Shindong became emotional and pointed out how he was also removed from 'Radio Star' without notice. Shindong shared, "I was removed from 'Radio Star' and 'Great Escape' - no one told me that I was being cut. I found out through news articles both times."

Previously, Shindong revealed that he learned about the production of 'The Great Escape: The Story' through a news article. 'The Great Escape: The Story' is part of the 'The Great Escape' series, in which Shindong appeared with Kim Jong Min, P.O., Kang Ho Dong, Kim Dong Hyun, and Yoo Byung Jae. 'The Great Escape: The Story' returned with Yoo Byung Jae, Kang Ho Dong, and Kim Dong Hyung, with the addition of Baekhyun, Yeo Jin Goo, and Go Kyung Pyo.
Shindong added that the same thing happened with 'Radio Star' and explained, "I found out from an article titled, 'Shindong replaced by Kim Guk Jin.' I can't forget it because it keeps happening."
Kim Gu Ra commented, "Shindong is like a discontinued version of Radio Star. He was an original member, but no one remembers him," causing everyone to laugh.
