Kiss of Life member Julie has become embroiled in controversy over the alleged leak of a private CCTV video, and her agency has announced plans to take strong legal action.
On September 29th KST, S2 Entertainment stated, “We have confirmed the existence of illegally leaked and distributed videos circulating online. Although we previously released a statement, baseless speculation continues to spread around our artist, and we wish to make our position clear once again.”
The agency continued, “We recognize that the artist’s honor and character are being severely damaged by unfounded rumors and reckless speculation, and this has reached a level that can no longer be overlooked. Together with our legal representatives, we are currently collecting and analyzing evidence, and we are preparing legal measures against the dissemination of false information, malicious posts, and violations of personal rights.”
They further stressed, “All evidence gathered will be used in legal proceedings, and we will respond strongly without any settlement or leniency. We also emphasize that not only the illegal leaking and distribution of such videos, but also any secondary harm or manipulation, may be subject to legal punishment.”
On the same day, a video spread on Weibo showing a man and a woman engaging in physical intimacy in what appeared to be a private room at a bar. Online speculation claimed the individuals were VERIVERY’s Kangmin and Julie.
In response, S2 Entertainment commented cautiously, “This concerns private matters, so the company has nothing further to say.” Meanwhile, Kangmin’s agency Jellyfish Entertainment firmly denied the rumor, stating, “The claim is completely untrue and constitutes a malicious falsehood that seriously harms the artist’s reputation.”
