QWER is taking firm legal action against malicious commenters.
On September 18, Tamago Production posted an announcement titled 'Update on Legal Proceedings Regarding QWER' on the group’s official fan café, confirming the progress of criminal complaints.
According to the agency, complaints have been filed based on 115 cases of malicious online posts, citing violations such as the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (indecent acts using communication media). The cases have been transferred to local police stations, where investigations are underway. A company representative stated, “Due to the seriousness of the matter, guilty verdicts and fines have already been issued in some cases.”
The agency emphasized its strict stance: “To protect our artists, we will respond without settlements or leniency. Legal responsibility will be pursued without exception.” They further assured fans, “We will continue thorough monitoring, fact-checking of reports, and ongoing responses to ensure the safety of our artists. Thank you for your support.”
Meanwhile, QWER is set to kick off their first world tour, 'Rockcation,' at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, from October 3 to 5.
