Apink member Oh Hayoung shared a surprising behind-the-scenes story about her appearance on the survival reality show 'Law of the Jungle.'
On the September 16 episode of YouTube channel Xiumin’s Ramyeon Store, Apink members Park Chorong and Oh Hayoung appeared as guests.
Now under a new agency, Park Chorong expressed her satisfaction with the transition, saying, “As soon as we joined, they gave us such a warm welcome and have been very attentive. I’m really satisfied with how things are going.”
As a 3rd-generation K-pop group, Apink has experienced many iconic variety shows, including 'Law of the Jungle,' 'Sponge, Strong Heart,' 'Challenge 1000 Songs,' and 'Vitamin.' Xiumin was surprised to learn that both Chorong and Hayoung had taken part in 'Law of the Jungle.'
Park Chorong explained, “I volunteered to go. I really wanted to try it. The hardest part was not being able to wash or use a proper bathroom, and even sleeping was uncomfortable because of the ground. I went to Fiji, so compared to other locations, it was a little easier.”
Oh Hayoung, however, recalled a much tougher experience in Papua New Guinea. “I cried all the time. It was a female-special episode, and while it was fun in some ways, I was the youngest so it was hard to adjust at first. The older members were really kind, but the heavy rains gave me blisters on my legs, and it was very difficult. Still, when I looked back on the broadcast, it felt entertaining,” she said.
Xiumin then asked if she had volunteered to join. Oh Hayoung candidly replied, “No. The CEO at the time, who is no longer with the company, told me, ‘If you don’t go, I’ll cancel all your schedules.’ I had no choice but to go.” Her confession left Park Chorong shocked, responding, “Really? This is the first time I’m hearing that!”
