Actor Park Hae Soo is returning with a new TV series.
On September 5, Genie TV's new drama 'Scarecrow' (written by Lee Ji Hyun, directed by Park Joon Woo) revealed its casting lineup, which includes Park Hae Soo, Lee Hee Joon, and Kwak Sun Young.
'Scarecrow' is a crime investigation series based on true events. It follows a detective who, while chasing a serial murder case, is forced to cooperate with someone he despises.
Park Hae Soo plays Detective Kang Tae Joo, once an ace detective who has been reassigned to his hometown of Gangseong. There, he encounters his nemesis from his school days.

The drama weaves together a complex narrative in which Tae Joo must catch the culprit he's desperate to bring to justice, but only by working with a classmate he once loathed. As the case unfolds, he faces unforeseen developments.
Park Hae Soo shared, "I'm grateful to take part in a project that the production team has poured so much effort into preparing. I'll give it my all and work passionately on this project."
Lee Hee Joon takes on the role of prosecutor Cha Si Young, who aims to solve the case and then step into politics. He enters into a precarious partnership with Tae Joo, the very person he once tormented.
Expressing excitement for the role, Lee Hee Joon shared, "The script was so engaging. I'm honored to join such a meaningful project."
Kwak Sun Young plays Seo Ji Won, a reporter from the Gangseong Daily and a former classmate of Tae Joo. With her strong sense of justice, she acts as a watchdog throughout the investigation. She shared, "I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of energy the director, staff, and the actors will create together. Please give us lots of support and interest."
'Scarecrow' is set to premiere in the first half of next year on Genie TV and ENA.
