On September 24, MBC released the first trailer for its Friday-Saturday drama 'Moon River,' which is scheduled to premiere on October 31. The latest trailer reveals the quirky plot that opens up with a "body-swap" romance between Crown Prince Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae Oh) and merchant Park Dal Yi (played by Kim Se Jeong).
'Moon River' follows the story between the Crown Prince, a rowdy Royal prince who has lost his laughter, and Park Dal Yi, a brash merchant who lost her memory. The series brings together Kang Tae Oh, who gained recognition in dramas like 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' and 'The Potato Lab,' and Kim Se Jeong, known for her charismatic performances in dramas including 'Business Proposal' and 'The Uncanny Counter' series.
The latest trailer highlights the stark contrast between the two main characters, Lee Kang and Park Dal Yi. Despite his high status, Lee Kang acts recklessly like a child, which is the complete opposite of Park Dal Yi, who is free-spirited and confident.
The plot thickens as Park Dal Yi loses her memory after an accident. She awakens to find herself living the life of a commoner. Lee Kang then suspects Park Dal Yi, saying, "You're the runaway servant from Hanyang, aren't you?" suggesting he has insight into her past.
However, a strange change occurs, drawing even more interest to the upcoming episodes. As if by a twist of fate, the souls of Lee Kang and Park Dal Yi get swapped. The scene of the two panicking as they find themselves in each other’s unfamiliar bodies is sure to be hilarious.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Moon River' will air its first episode on October 31 at 9:50 PM KST.
