Lee Jun Young is set to join a new JTBC drama, 'New Employee Chairman Kang'.
'New Employee Chairman Kang' is a fantasy office drama that follows the story of Choi Sung Group chairman Kang Yong Ho and professional soccer player Hwang Jun Hyun. The story unfolds as the two characters switch souls in a freak accident.
Lee Jun Young will play both Kang Yong Ho and Hwang Jun Hyun. Hwang Jun Hyun, who had just joined the first-division team FC Choi Sung, gets into a car accident that causes his body to be swapped with Kang Yong Ho.
Kang Yong Ho, the man who built Choi Sung Group into the 10th-ranked conglomerate in Korea, suddenly finds himself living as Hwang Jun Hyun. Instead of chasing Jun Hyun’s original dream of playing in the Premier League, he redirects his path to become a rookie employee at a major corporation.
A production representative shared, "Lee Jun Young will showcase his versatile charm, backed by years of acting experience. Audiences can look forward to seeing a whole new side of him."
The drama will be written by Kim Soon Ok, known for 'The Penthouse' series and 'Temptation of Wife.' 'New Employee Chairman Kang' is an adaptation of the web novel of the same title, which was also adapted into a webtoon series. The webnovel is written by Sankyung, the author of 'Reborn Rich'.
